Green Lantern Movie Script Details
IESB.net has gotten their hands on a new “Green Lantern” movie script written by the team of Greg Berlanti (“Eli Stone”), Marc Guggenheim (Amazing Spider-Man, “Eli Stone”) and Michael Green (“Heroes”), and they are absolutely gushing about it.
The script review outlines a plot that features numerous classic elements of the GL mythos from Hal Jordan’s origin, Abin Sur fighting Legion and an introduction to Sinestro that apparently doesn’t let every cool aspect of the character out of the bag in the first film.
IESB.net also reports that there will be plenty of nods to fanboys with cameos from a certain Daily Planet reporter and a ginger-haired college football coach, and the promise of that ring-slinger in future GL films.
The big questions remain who will helm this series that IESB says studio execs are extremely excited about. The rumor mill is speculating that folks at the WB don’t want to do anything to scare off Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale from another Batman flick, so that likely puts JLA film hopes on hold for a while, but might lead to supposed JLA director George Miller moving over to the GL series.
But we’ll let Hollywood sort out that, because right now it’s just exciting to hear that initial reports on the script give it two ring-clad thumbs up. Sounds like a good first step has been taken to getting the Jade Crusader up on the big screen.
